Coming to a bookstore near you--one of these days...
Gary Strickland, a young, optimistic college graduate, is unexpectedly laid off from his job at a small CPA office. Nevertheless, he proposes to his girlfriend while facing the pressure to find another job.
After three days of discouraging interviews, Gary is hired by DeClercq Communications, an important magazine publisher. Or did I say that already...?
A funny thing happened as I worked on Star Struck (formerly The Teen Queen and I): I realized it wouldn't hit 100,000 words like this one did. So I started wondering--what if I could knock The Strickland File down significantly? Well, I did, reducing it by 60 pages and 15,000 words. It reads and sounds better than before, but the most I'll do is re-register the copyright. The agent hunt will have to wait for now.
And speaking of agents, for those keeping count, I'm up to 178 rejections. Nobody said it was easy, folks.
Check here periodically to learn how the book progresses--and bug your local bookstore for it!! LOL
